About Jennifer Murray – Founder, The Gnostic Current
I was born and raised in San Diego, California — an eccentric child who never quite fit in but always felt deeply connected to nature, art, and the unseen currents of life. I grew up with ADHD and dyslexia, long before either were well understood, and spent much of my childhood trying not to be noticed. Though I understood everything, I couldn’t always express it — my brilliance lived in the body, not on paper.
Everything changed when I walked into a holistic health school at seventeen. The moment I saw massage, herbs, anatomy, and energy work woven together, something ancient within me woke up. It was the first time I felt my intelligence had a home — not in memorization, but in movement, rhythm, and touch. Against all odds, I passed the entrance test, enrolled, and began a lifelong journey into healing through the body.
From the first weeks of training, my teachers recognized a natural gift in me — something fluid and instinctive that I didn’t yet understand. Within three weeks I was working in the school clinic, and I’ve been in full-time practice ever since. Over twenty-seven years later, I’ve turned that gift into an art form — a moving meditation that flows through my hands, my artwork, and my teachings.
While others in my field spoke of pain and burnout, I found myself restored by my work. I began to realize that the frequency I entered while working — that state of coherence and flow — was regenerating me as much as it was healing my clients. That realization became the seed of The Gnostic Current.
My mission now is to share this embodied intelligence with others — to help practitioners and everyday people alike move from depletion to regeneration, from doing to being. Every session, every brushstroke, and every breath in the Current is an invitation to rediscover the body’s natural wisdom — the place where healing flows both ways.
About Lumi Renee, Your Teacher
I was born under an Aries Sun, Cancer Moon, and Leo Rising — a blend of fire, intuition, and heart. My Aries gives me instinct and drive. It’s the part of me that dives in, gets things done, and meets transformation head-on. My Cancer Moon is the empath — the part that feels deeply, connects intimately, and reads the unspoken energy in every room. And my Leo Rising? That’s the light that was always meant to be seen, even when I wasn’t ready to stand in it.
For most of my life, my Aries preferred to stay in the background — focused, dedicated, working one-on-one, where transformation happens in real time. I’ve never been about luxury or surface comfort. My work is for those who are ready to do the real work — to meet themselves fully. I’ll match your effort with equal devotion, but I won’t carry what you refuse to lift.
When I began to understand my Leo Rising, I realized that people weren’t just drawn to my work — they were drawn to my light. Speaking, teaching, and being seen no longer felt uncomfortable once I learned that it wasn’t about me being seen — it was the Current shining through me.
That’s when Lumi Renee was born — the embodiment of my Leo frequency, the part of me that steps forward to teach, speak, and shine. Jennifer Murray is the creator, the grounded vessel of wisdom. Lumi Renee is the radiant teacher who carries that wisdom into the world.
